Who we are

GoldEdge (goldedge.net) is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything in this policy, email goldedge.net@gmail.com.

What we collect

Browsing without an account. The odds, racing, guides and calculators need no account. We do not ask who you are; what we hold about a visit is the security and analytics data below.

Your account. When you sign up we receive your email address and name from our sign-in provider, and keep them with your account's role, plan, and the time you were last active.

What you save. Your board filter, the bookmakers you hold accounts with, the bets you mark as taken (with the price and any result you record) and the bets you remove from your board.

Security. To stop accounts being shared or scraped, our server checks each signed-in request's session, IP address and browser type. That check runs in memory and is not written to a database. Our servers' logs record IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

We do not collect payment details: paid plans are not on sale. This policy will be updated before they are.

Cookies and browser storage

Strictly necessary, set whatever you choose: our sign-in provider's session cookies (they keep you signed in) and ge_consent / ge_consent_ads, which remember your cookie choice for six months.

Analytics, only if you accept: Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_… to count visits and see which pages are used. If you reject, Google Analytics receives only cookieless signals with no identifier, and rejecting later deletes those cookies.

Advertising: Google AdSense may set __gads, __gpi and __eoi on this site, and Google sets its own cookies on its domains. See Advertising for when that needs your consent.

Browser storage, never sent to us: your odds format, your bookmakers, your pinned competitions, whether value-bet alerts are on, and your filters on the arbitrage and value-bet pages. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Advertising

GoldEdge is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, Google's consent message asks before any advertising cookie is used, and lists the vendors involved. Elsewhere, our cookie banner asks; until you accept, Google is told to show only non-personalised ads.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of other vendors' cookies at aboutads.info (in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu). How Google uses the data it collects on sites that show its ads is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Signed-in accounts on a paid plan, when paid plans exist, see no ads.

Who processes it

We use these providers, each under its own data-protection terms:

• Clerk: sign-in and session management.
• Vercel: hosts the website.
• MongoDB Atlas: stores account records.
• Our own server: runs the odds engine and the data the site reads, including your saved filter, bookmakers and bets.
• Google Analytics: visit statistics, with your consent.
• Google AdSense and the ad partners Google works with: advertising.

Some of these providers process data in the United States, under the transfer safeguards in their data-protection terms. We do not sell your personal data, and odds data from bookmakers contains none.

Why we may use it

• To provide the service you signed up for: your account and what you save in it.
• Legitimate interests: keeping accounts secure, stopping account sharing and scraping, fixing faults, and showing non-personalised ads where the law allows it without consent.
• Your consent: analytics and personalised advertising. You can withdraw it at any time from the Cookies link in the footer.

How long we keep it

• Your account and what you save in it: until you ask us to delete the account.
• Bets you remove from your board: deleted automatically about a week after the match.
• Server logs: rotated by size, so kept only for a short period.
• Your cookie choice: six months, then you are asked again.
• Analytics and advertising data: kept by Google under its own retention rules.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data-protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, and receive it in a portable form. Email goldedge.net@gmail.com from the address on your account. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data-protection authority where you live.

GoldEdge is for adults only (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
